Skiing
You can choose between 18 ski slopes of different technical difficulty. Ski lifts and ski runs stretch over the slopes of Vitranc from Kranjska Gora to Planica at altitudes from 800m to 1,215m. The system of 6 chairlifts and 13 drag lifts takes you to your dream trail. If you want to do something else, look at the map of ski runs and discover the splendid terrains also in Mojstrana and Rateče.
One of the biggest advantages of ski slopes in Kranjska Gora is that there is only a Snow covered beach separating you from your hotel and the ski slopes.
And of course, that a complete beginner can step onto the snow with the help of the excellent ski schools and instructors available.
Cross-country skiing

If you like cross-country skiing for long periods of time, then set on a 40-kilometre-long carefully maintained trail from the centre of Kranjska Gora past the Spring of the Sava Dolinka River and Planica ski jumps into the Tamar Valley and in Gozd Martuljek.
Cross-country skiing trails are well maintained in Mojstrana and in Zgornja Radovna as well. The cross-country skiing from Rateče to Tamar with an altitude difference of 260m is physically demanding.

Winter Hiking

Do you love the fresh mountain air? We invite you to explore more than 100 kilometres of hiking trails, from the easiest recreational to more demanding mountain trails.
For a start, obtain the Upper Sava Valley walking map in the Kranjska Gora Tourist Information Centre which have the description of 20 marked trails.

On the slope above Kranjska Gora, there is a place for serious training and sports entertainment. You can test yourself on the Alpine trail or ski between the poles on a night slalom ski under the floodlights. The offer additionally includes an increasingly popular trail for ski cross, where you try your hand at skiing races.

Ice climbing
Vertical ice
At least once in their lifetime, the biggest fans must climb the Lucifer. This is not an entry to hell, but the famous frozen waterfall in Gozd Martuljek. There is the Lucifer and other frozen waterfalls under the Prisank Mountain and in the Tamar Valley – it is recommended to visit them together with a guide.
Beginners and curious people can try their abilities in the Mlačca Gorge in Mojstrana.
In this unique Ice-climbing Centre there is safety equipment at your disposal as well as guides and the possibility to rent equipment, which means that even complete beginners can try their hands climbing the frozen waterfall.

Sledding and snowshoeing
Trekking through snowy Kranjska Gora with “big feet” at night…
Bring out the child in yourself and drive to the top of the hill in a 4×4 vehicle! A push and … you will be sledding in torch light down the well-maintained and floodlit sledding slopes.
Or, you can attach the “big feet”, snowshoes, allowing you to move freely over the snow.
We will take you on a daytime or night-time adventure.
With a headlamp and snowshoes you can admire the sunset and full moon, which are most beautiful when admired in the snow-covered nature.
Alpine Village in Kranjska Gora
Experience the real winter atmosphere of the Alpine Village in Kranjska Gora!
In the winter, an Alpine Village is set up in Kranjska Gora in the market in front of the church.
Houses, decorated with holiday lights, offer culinary delights and other home-made products.
You can warm yourself by the open fire with mulled wine or tea, and various musical performances create a good and festive atmosphere.

Nordic Centre Planica
The Nordic Centre Planica is an exceptional environment for continuing the Slovenian tradition of sky jumping and flying, as well as for cross-country training and competing.
Within the framework of the Nordic Centre Planica, seven new ski jumping hills were built with the accompanying facilities. The ski-flying hill built by the brothers Gorišek was also renovated.
The central building, which represents the centre for cross-country skiing and ski jumping, comprises a viewing platform, the Planica Museum on two floors, a wind tunnel and catering facilities.
In addition to external cross-country skiing tracks in the winter months, it is also possible to use the covered internal cross-country skiing polygon in the warmer months.

The youngest visitors can have fun in the adrenaline park aimed at children, as well as in the children’s corner in the central cross-skiing facility.

Ice skating
Ice skating is so very romantic…
During the winter in Kranjska Gora, you only have to put on your skates or rent them, and you can already start skating in the artificial skating rink between the Ramada Resort Kranjska Gora and Kompas Hotel. Ice skating at night is particularly romantic. Parents can enjoy a ski while their children socialize at the skating rink.
The skating rink with the most beautiful panorama is of course the Jasna artificial lake , which serves as a natural ice rink during the winter…
