Experience the flavours of the Upper Sava Valley on a Culinary Journey through Kranjska Gora, and pamper your taste buds at five different restaurants!
Take a guided walking tour through Kranjska Gora and get acquainted with its culinary tradition at 5 different locations, where you will be able to indulge your taste buds with a selection of authentic, home-made delights of Gorenjska.
The Best Western Hotel Kranjska Gora will serve you a cold starter – a beetroot and zucchini carpaccio with beef pâté and garlic bread, a rightful introduction into the specialities of Gorenjska. The meal will be served with a glass of wine.
The road will lead on to the Hotel Alpina restaurant, to the next cold starter on the menu – a refreshing salad with pulled beef and a glass of wine.
When it comes to the traditional dough pockets (krapi), there are as many ways of making them as there are villages in the Upper Sava Valley. The Lačni Kekec snack bar will serve you their delicious traditional buckwheat pockets with cream and tarragon sauce, and a taste of bacon. The meal will be served with a glass of white wine.
Next stop, the Ramada Hotel & Suites Kranjska Gora for Alpine barley risotto, and a glass of aromatic wine.
No culinary experience of Kranjska Gora would be complete without dessert. To this end, the gran finale will be served at the Kosobrin Chalet – home-made blueberry strudel with blueberry liqueur or blueberry juice.
